NORMOSKA #63

hosted by MAITLAND VALLEY REGION

July 11, 2020 THRU July 18, 2020

REGISTRATION FORM

Yes! There will be a Normoska in 2020.

Place: Cedar Rail Campground, Scone

Address: 15259 Grey Bruce Line, Chesley, ON N0G 1L0

Date: Saturday, July 11th to Saturday July 18th

Mark this date on your calendar. It is earlier this year.

Hello to all H.A.S.C Members:

As you can see by the date, Normoska 63 is earlier than ever. This is the only date the campground has available on short notice. Maitland Valley Region will be your host. Jim and Adelle Dawm are the chairpersons with an enthusiastic committee and dedicated volunteer members.

There is not a lot of preparation time. Without a Normoska 2020 in place, our region decided in late December to host this annual event. A lot of things have to happen quickly. The biggest drawback is the early deadline date for submission to the Klaxon. The June edition of the Klaxon will not be in your mail box soon enough for the registration deadline. Registration Deadline is June 10th, 2020. We encourage you to mail your registration early. The registration form will be in the Klaxon, but it is also available on this site (click on registration form above). Please use it to register.

Back To The Country

Maitland Valley Region is planning an exciting, fun filled week of wonderful tours, entertainment, great meals, group campfiresand cruise night. We have use of Westwindhall. When not in use for meals and planned entertainment, it is available for games, puzzles and to socialize with Normoska friends, until lock up time. Our tour organizers are planning great tours with places of interest, different from those of Normoska 2014. All details are not yet complete. A leisurely day is planned for Wednesday but there will be activities for everyone. Traffic in this area is not busy and we encourage you to bring your older cars. If there is enough interest, Jim will set up a “gravel run” tour for those who wish to participate on Wednesday. The scenic roads are narrow with limited traffic, bumpy in spots with curves, hills and mud puddles (depending on rainfall). Jim and Adelle have driven their 1956 Dodge down these roads. The plan is to encourage older cars with enough ground clearance to run this tour. Invite Normoska friends with newer model cars to hop in as passengers to enjoy a ride in a car they haven’t travelled in. Pack a sandwich or food for a “running board” lunch. Bring a camera for “back road” photos.

Maitland Valley Region members look forward to welcoming H.A.S.C. members to our area for a fun filled week at “Back To The Country”.

Please bring extra water hoses and electric cords.
